I need to get some video. There's no body roll, and no chassis flex with the top on going 50 on 20 MPH ramps. When I rolled into it getting onto the highway I was really pretty well pinned to the seat. I haven't had much time driving the car spiritedly because I've been working on some stuff, but I'm really pleasantly surprised when I do. Coming back there were a couple of guys sitting at the end of the alley my dad's house is on for some odd reason (they are town houses on the end of a lane of garages between two rows, I park in his garage) in a beaten up ranger with the lights out in the dark. I sat there and waved, they put their high beams on me and flipped me off, I revved the engine which made a considerable amount of noise, flashed my brights, and they blasted off down neighborhood roads with tires shreaking after kindly screaming profanities and flashing their tattoos. Who needs a gun when they have a worn out C4? (I think most owners would recommend both). Anyways, that's a pretty intense moment for where my dad lives. And that concludes this cool story bro story.

C4 is always the answer, but Oppo doesn't realize it yet.
Cheap.
Small-block parts availability and huge aftermarket.
Practical. Glass liftback and enough room for people to sleep in it.
Fun. Targa top with a V8. How can it be boring?

I haven't enough stars to give! People will hopefully realize soon/80s kids will have midlife crises and realize that these are cheaper than foxbody mustangs and their values will go up!
I mean, it's boring because it just is, ok? And if you want a bargain you need to spend 5x more on a hot hatch or small coupe that's slower, doesn't look as good, and doesn't handle as well because people might judge you by your car.

They have potential and are a fantastic bargain. If a really cheap one shows up on CL after a payday, then it might come home with me.
I always thought they seemed like everything Oppo wanted in a car; it really does suprise me that more people aren't interested in them.
An affordable, practical sports car that you can easily modify.

Exactly! Another cool thing is that they are the last of the classic corvettes and first of the modern ones. Gen 1 SBC, 4 speed manual, digital dashboard, and signature styling cues in the early ones, but with real fuel injection, 25 MPG highway, a lotus-designed suspension, rack and pinion steering, a clean and sleek shape, and a pretty nicely designed interior. The clamshell hood, digital dashboard, TPI engine, and 4+3 really make it a quintessential 80s sports car that is distinctive in the Corvette line.

No hopefully people won't realize how good C4's are because damnit I want them to stay cheap! Everything desirable is skyrocketing in price.
